Adam O’Neill

Assistant Principal

Adam embarked on his journey at Hanson as an NQT PE teacher in 2011, gradually evolving into a dynamic leader within the pastoral team, allowing him to make positive impact for students during their Hanson journey. Over the last 7 years, Adam led school-wide transitions, focusing on both Primary to Secondary school transition and post 16 options. Within this role Adam fostered strong relationships with local primary schools and community initiatives, crafting a positive experience for our younger students while creating essential parental relationships.

Beyond Transition, Adam’s passion for shaping students’ futures led him to oversee the Careers Department, passionately guiding students toward life-enhancing experiences and equipping them with a toolkit for positive choices after school. His influence has extended to extracurricular realms, where he championed the Duke of Edinburgh award, orchestrated diverse summer schools, and engaged in various community projects which has boosted student engagement and their personal development, preparing them for later life.

Now, as Assistant Principal, Adam remains dedicated to making a lasting impact on the young minds of the school and is enthusiastic to make a difference for all students.  He is passionate about developing young people so they are prepared for, and have the skills, to reach their full potential.
