Felicity Issott

Vice Principal

Felicity graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Science. She has always been passionate about improving the educational outcomes for young people and on completion of her degree in 2007 she immediatly started her teacher training with the Teach First program in a school in Wythenshaw, Manchester. Since 2007 she has worked in schools in Oldham, Calderdale and Bradford.

In 2020 Felicity joined Delta Academies Trust as a director of Science and worked successfully across multiple academies in the trust from Grimbsy to Bradford. Improving both the science curriculum and outcomes for students in GCSE Science. In 2023 Felicity was appointed Vice Principal at Hanson Academy. Her passion is teaching and learning, Felicity takes the lead on DEEP learning in the academy, providing continued professional development for all staff, ensuring new to profession teachers are supported and that every student experience quality first teaching.
