Jackie Leeming

Learning Manager - Y13

A dedicated member of the Hanson School community since 2003, Jackie has had the privilege of serving in various roles, each contributing to her passion for student welfare.

Jackie’s journey at Hanson began in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) department, where she was first introduced to the challenges and reward of supporting students with diverse needs. This experience ignited her commitment to making a difference in the lives of young learners. Jackie’s career path then led her to the alternative provision within the school, where she focused on providing essential support to vulnerable students, helping them overcome obstacles and thrive in their educational journey. This then followed with the organisation of work experience opportunities for students and allowed her to support students with making informed decisions about their future.

Throughout the years, her role within Hanson continued to evolve as she joined the pastoral team, initially as an Assistant Head of House, and later, took on the role of Head of Year. In these positions, Jackie had the privilege of guiding and nurturing students through important stages of their academic and personal growth.

Jackie’s commitment to student success expanded to a whole school level as she embraced the challenge of raising attendance across the year groups.

Jackie now proudly serves as the Year 13 Learning Manager, where she continues to support and guide our students in their final year, helping them make the most of their educational journey and prepare for the future.
